Cha Ong Waterfall & Cave

The highest waterfall around Banlung – the Cha Ong waterfall impresses with its height and scenery around. Surrounded by native forest with a huge cave-like area below the waterfall where couples write their names on the wall for good luck.

What to expect

A quiet place in the middle of a beautiful forest with benches to relax on. Steep stairs lead you under the water fall into the cave where you can relax on a wodden platform. Young couples like to visit the cave and write their names on the wall with chalk as a sign for their love and for good luck. If you happen to be there during sunset, get comfortable on top of the waterfall and watch the sun disseapear behind the mountains and trees. It’s a very stunning view as you can see in the images below.

Currently there are no shops that sell drinks or snacks near the waterfall, thus you better buy some in the village right before the entry to the waterfall.
